The tooth fiasco

A couple of weeks back, Zach fell onto his face at school.  We noticed his tooth hanging a bit lower than usual when he came home that day; turns out, the tooth was very loose.  After a trip to the dentist a few days passing, the tooth fell out.  The tooth that was loose and now gone is probably an extra tooth that Zach had - Adam has an extra tooth that never emerged.  The tooth next to the one that is now gone has the potential of being lost - it was loose, but now seems to be tightening in.  We'll see.  The dentist told us that Z is a tough guy (which we knew), as the nerve came out with the tooth, so in essence, Zach gave himself a root canal when the tooth fell out!  We see the dentist in another 3 months.  Luckily, no speech problems are equated with missing front teeth.

Here's a pic of Zach on my birthday, preparing my bday cake with Adam - you might notice the loose tooth in this shot.
The loose tooth up close.  The other loose tooth that remains is the one directly to the left of the loose tooth (in this picture).
Post lost-tooth!
This is a smile, not a painful look.  I promise.

If it makes you feel better my nephew has had both of his top two front teeth missing for at least a couple years and has had ZERO problems.

Glad to hear that aside from losing a tooth, that it is all okay. Losing teeth like that are one of my worst fears!!!

Hope you guys are doing well!

Miss you!
