CA Day1

We arrived in Carlsbad on Wednesday, and since we had a two day pass to Lego Land, decided to wait until Thursday to start using it (so we could also use it Friday, all day, as well).  Our first order of business, after lunch, was to find Z a hat, as we had not brought one with us.  Fortunately, our hotel was nearby an outlet mall, so we easily found a child hat (and a cool one at that - see below).

 Outside of our room - you can see the ocean in the distance.  It was quite nice.

After swimming in the hotel pool (see Adam's prior post), we headed to the beach.  We hit the beach again during our visit and were much more prepared the second time around (towels, swim suit, etc.) - Zach got wet and sandy (duh) during the first visit!
